Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MarketsPrediction ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use marketsprediction.com and any related pages, newsletters, or notifications we operate (the "Service").
MarketsPrediction is an odds-comparison and information service. We aggregate publicly available prediction market data and publish reviews, guides, news, and promotional offers. We are not a broker, exchange, or trading platform: we do not hold funds, we do not process trades, and we never receive information about your trading activity, balances, or accounts on any third-party platform.
No account is currently required to use the Service. You can browse everything we publish without registering. If we introduce accounts or other features that collect additional information in the future, we will update this Policy before those features launch.
1. Information We Collect
Usage and device information. When you visit the Service, we automatically collect standard technical and analytics information: pages viewed, features and links clicked, time on page, referring URL, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device, browser, and operating system details. We also collect error reports so we can identify and fix broken pages.
Information you choose to provide. If you contact us (for example by email or through our community channels), subscribe to a newsletter or notifications we may offer, or otherwise voluntarily submit information, we collect what you provide — typically your email address and the content of your message.
Local preferences. Display settings and similar preferences may be stored locally in your browser so the site works the way you left it.
We do not collect payment information, government identification, or financial account details, because the Service does not currently sell anything or require sign-in.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- understand which pages, markets, and features are most useful, and prioritize what we build next;
- diagnose technical problems and fix errors;
- deliver newsletters or notifications you have asked for;
- measure the performance of promotional placements and referral links in aggregate;
- detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents;
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers for targeted advertising.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and browser storage for:
Strictly necessary functions — keeping the site working, remembering session and display preferences.
Analytics — understanding aggregate usage patterns so we can improve the Service.
Referral attribution — when you click a promotional link or copy a promo code, a cookie or link parameter may be used (by us or by the destination platform and its affiliate network) to attribute your visit, which is how we may earn a commission.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the Service to work incorrectly.
4. Service Providers
We share information with a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf and only to provide their service to us, such as:
- website and infrastructure hosting providers;
- analytics and error-monitoring providers;
- email or notification delivery providers (for any newsletters or alerts you enable).
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms of Use, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MarketsPrediction, our users, or the public. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
5. Market Data and Third-Party Platforms
The odds, prices, and market data we display are collected from third-party prediction market platforms (such as Kalshi, Polymarket, Plus500, and others). That data is about markets, not about you, and we do not send your personal information to those platforms.
When you follow a link from the Service to a third-party platform — including promotional and affiliate links — that platform's own privacy policy governs what it collects from you. Affiliate networks or destination platforms may set their own cookies or receive referral parameters when you click a link, in order to attribute your visit. We do not control their practices and encourage you to review their policies before signing up or depositing.
6. Data Retention
We retain analytics and log data on a rolling basis for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, after which it is deleted or aggregated. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain records. Aggregated, anonymized statistics that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely. We may keep certain records longer where required for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Cookies and analytics — control cookies in your browser settings, or use tracking-protection features.
Communications — unsubscribe from any newsletter or notification at any time using the link in the message or by contacting us.
Access, correction, and deletion — contact us to ask what information we hold about you, or to request that it be corrected or deleted.
Depending on where you live (for example, in the EEA, the UK, or certain US states), you may have additional legal rights over your personal data, such as the right to receive a copy of it, restrict or object to certain processing, or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise any of these rights and we will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle, including encryption of traffic in transit and limiting access to operational data. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect the data we hold and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Users
The Service is available internationally, and the service providers we use may store and process data in countries other than your own, including countries whose data-protection laws differ from those where you live. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Future Features
If we launch accounts, sign-in, alerts, paid products, or programmatic data access, we will collect additional information needed to operate those features (such as account credentials and, for paid products, billing information handled by a payment processor). We will update this Policy — and notify you of material changes — before such features go live.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service evolves. We will update the "Last Updated" date above, and for material changes we will provide reasonable notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
